Who we are

Lapa Trips (lapatrips.com) is run by Gabriel and Mariana from San José, Costa Rica. You can reach us at lapatripscr@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

  • Website visits. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers and records things like pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. We use this only to improve the site.

  • Email sign-ups. If you join our waitlist or newsletter, we collect your email address through Kit, our email service, and use it to send you the emails you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

  • Purchases. When you buy a guide, the payment is handled by our payment platform, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your payment details, name, email address and billing country. We do not see or store your full card number. We receive order information such as your name, email address, country and what you bought, so we can give you support.

  • Messages. If you email us, we keep your message and our reply so we can help you.

Advertising

We may run ads on Google. Google may use cookies to measure how those ads perform.

Who we share information with

We use service providers to run Lapa Trips: Framer (website hosting), Google (analytics and ads), Kit (email) and Lemon Squeezy (payments and delivery of your download). They process information for us under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on for Google Analytics.

How long we keep information

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe. We keep order and support records as long as we need them to help you and to meet accounting and legal requirements. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

Where information is processed

We are based in Costa Rica. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time with the link in each email. You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing lapatripscr@gmail.com. We will reply within 30 days.

Children

Lapa Trips is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
