Lapa Trips is a small, Costa Rican-run store of trip-planning guides for first-time visitors. We are Gabriel and Mariana, a married couple who live in San José.

I want visitors to enjoy my country without the stress of guessing. Everything in our guides is something I would tell a friend planning a trip here.
Mariana
I want Costa Rica to feel welcoming from the moment you land, for you and everyone traveling with you. We write each guide so the small decisions are already made.
Meet Lapa
Lapa is our guide, a scarlet macaw. In Costa Rica, lapa is the word for the bird. Everything Lapa says is checked by us.
